i don't even know what to say about this.
that's a lie. i do.
terry prachett was one of my all-time favorite authors, and he always will be. his words were a guiding influence to my own work, proving that alternate worlds can be simultaneously dark and funny, magical and practical - just like our own world. and, in everything he wrote, the the fantastic and the absurd were commentaries on our own existence and understanding of the world. in short, he was nothing less than a sage.
i'm glad he's no longer suffering. i hope his death was on his own terms, as he wanted it to be. and, as am the elder said, at least he now gets to hang out with death, who is arguably one of his best characters.
but with all that said, i'm going to go be sad for a bit now.
