it's nice to see community leaders being community leaders

doing your job is important.

i think sometimes we forget that life isn't compartmentalized.

chicago and new york will have to lobby on their own

because i have a feeling italy won't share if it wins.

oh, unesco. you're awesome.

don't ever change.

unless, you know, it's change in a good way.

it's from a medical museum, so you know it's doctor-approved

that said, it's debatable whether a conjoined twin cookie cutter is in good or bad taste.

read the description and decide for yourself?

just mildly obsessive

personally, i wasn't the biggest fan of the movie julie & julia.

(i will admit that i watched it while being in a not-so-great state of mind. so maybe it was just me.)

however, it looks like the movie's biggest fan has been found.

watching the same movie every day for a year sounds rather depressing to me.

it'll make a believer out of you

... so i guess coffee is the new religion?

either way, being able to test whether your coffee is really decaf or not seems a bit fanatical to me.

but hey, if it helps you sleep at night (or wakes you up in the morning), go for it.

beef!

i have a lot of saved links and i'm trying to catch up on sorting them. i think it's a never-ending project, but that's okay.

it gives me something to do on the weekends when i'm brewing earl grey vodka and working on monday's m.f.k.f. recipe.

anyway, i just found this old link from last december.

all things considered, it doesn't seem like beef! replaced gourmet, but it may just feel that way because i'm in the u.s., not germany. either way, it still makes me laugh that there's a whole german magazine dedicated to beef.

excuse me, i mean beef!
