Books 166-170

If you haven't been already
and you live on the east coast,
specifically in the Baltimore area,
it's time to start hoping the heat breaks soon.
Not just for your health,
but for the good of this blog.
The books I've been scanning are on the top floor
of my parents' house.
And that floor has become a veritable oven.
We haven't run out of scanned book covers,
yet,
but every post I post brings us a day closer
to running out.
And,
until summer tones things back a few notches,
I won't be able to scan any more new covers
for your entertainment.
So let's all hope July remembers
that having temperatures in the double digits
is nothing to be ashamed of.

Having said all of that,
let's pick up right where we left off,
with Mr. Hawthorne
and
The House of the Seven Gables.

Even though it's boring,
I actually like this cover better.
But then again,
I like the color green
and the other cover made it look like
Mr. Hawthorne had taken up drinking
with Mr. Edgar Allen Poe.

As for the next book...

I just really don't know what to say about this one.
While I get having a person smiling on the cover,
what's with the random floating hand?

I really don't know what to say about this next one...

I think it's supposed to be a joke book...
maybe?
Either way,
the way that goat is looking at me
is making me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Pretty sure this next book belongs
to my younger sister,
ASM.

However,
I have been known to be wrong before.
Anyone read any books by Ms. Black before?
Verdict?

To finish of the day's findings,
another journal.
This one has added awesomeness.
I love Where the Wild Things Are.

I don't think there was anything written inside the journal.
At least,
I didn't write myself any notes when I scanned it.

Oh, scanning...
how I miss you.
Go away,
ridiculously hot weather.
